You Can Go Ahead And Suck It, Weatherman!!!!

When I got up this morning, I turned on the news, just like every morning. Right there in between the impeached Governor and the story about the couple who got married in Taco Bell was this...

From midnight tonight and noon tomorrow.

WHAT THE F*&%#!!!!!???????? In all of my 27 years (Yep, I'm still holding onto it) I have never seen Blizzard Warnings! What am I even suppose to do??? What do they do in the Arctic besides pee in frozen toilets and hallucinate?

So far, the boss hasn't closed down work like I was hoping. I'm going have to get a sled and some dogs just to get there.

If anyone out there has a trained St. Bernard with the brandy around their necks, can you send him my way? My hot Toddie is running a little low.

Those beautiful people on the Golden Globes aren't the only ones celebrating! Lookie what I got!

This is from R Susanna over at Sticky Stuff on the Floor. Wasn't that sweet?

I've been called a lot of things but somehow "lovely" has never been one of them, so for that Susanna, I thank you.

So, now the daunting task of giving this lovely award away. Here it goes.

Torizworld

Punkn's Place

In The Trenches

Buttercream Cottage

There you have it, go congratulate all the winners.

__________________________________________________________

And finally, I got this little quiz off of Torizworld and I thought I would take it. It is suppose to sum you up in a word. Here's mine, but somehow I'm not convinced.

Your Word is "Fearless"

You see life as your one chance to experience everything, and you just go for it!

You believe the biggest risk is being afraid and missing out on something amazing.

Sometimes your fearlessness means you're daring. You enjoy risky activities.

And sometimes your fearlessness means you're courageous. You're brave enough to do the right thing, even when it's scary.

What, a blizzard?!

Yeah, my kids are hoping for a snow day, and I'm hoping for a day of peace and quiet.

I think they will win. God seems to listen to the prayers of children more than tired mommies.

If I see that dog, I'll refill his container and send him on over.

Be careful!

I'm really really really really really hoping things are so bad in the morning that I just can't make it in to work. I'm anticipating that I'll need to allow at LEAST 2 hours to get there. And that's on the conservative side. I figure if I leave home at 6, I might be at work at 9. That's only an hour late, not that bad. Knowing my luck, my parking lot won't be plowed and my street will be a mess, and I'll have to call snowed in. Yeah, that would be a real bummer dude!

Congrats on the award! I'm so glad I found your blog, I look forward to reading it every day.

And a blizzard???? EW. Want to fly out here and have some drinks???

It's partly cloudy and 33 in GA. Not a snow flake in sight. My word is THINK. I now have a headache, too much thinking.

In case of a blizzard, be sure to have plenty of milk, butter and toilet paper. Those are the 3 most important things.

Good luck!

"what do they do in the Arctic besides pee in frozen toilets and hallucinate"
Ha ha! Omg, I just snorted tea out my nose, since I was trying to drink and muzzle my laugh at the same time as I read your blog... Everyone is asleep besides me... well, not anymore...
Anyways, that is hilarious!

Well, we didn't get that 2" of snow, it must have stay with you, so Heather's prayers were answered. I didn't really care since I am off all week because the kids have exams, so no lunch.

Serious, you have never had a blizzard! We had one last March but that was the first in many years. You better get the day off.

Anyway, that word fits you perfect!

BTW, Moe asked as soon as he was out of the shower if he had any comments! That's my boy.

Moe wanted to know if he got any comments about the monkeyshark. He loved yours and he says "What-What"

Stay safe and warm! We're having some cold weather but no snow. I'd really like to see some snow but not THAT much.

I am originally from Buffalo and my parents STILL talk about "The Blizzard of '77"! I like to aspire to that definition of FEARLESS.

Congrats on the award!

Please keep the now and the cold weather. Pleeeeeeeeeeeaseeeeeee...

I think your word works for you - maybe its not the best one - but it works... My word was "Think"... I "think" they mean it as in "I think I need to go potty now" and "I think I eat now"...
