Fabulous Foto Friday!!!

For the last couple of weeks, if Emerson did well all week at school, she got to go to the movies after school on Friday.

It's a great incentive for her, and I get to go to the movies. It's a win win!

Last Friday and tonight, we got a special treat, Matt got to go with us.

This week, Emerson came out of school without any late slips, so off we went to see "Confessions of a Shopaholic"

I was really leery of this one. I had read and LOVED the books and to be perfectly honest, I was scared they were going to ruin it.

Well. I don't know if it was because it has been many years since I picked up those books, or that adorable Isla Fisher, but we all walked out of the movie with smiles on our faces.

So for my FFF this week, Matt took a picture of Em and I at the movies.

OOOOOOOHHHH......I forgot to tell you the best story of the day!!!!

When I picked up Emerson today after school, she told me a little tidbit.

Em: "Today, Celeste asked me something that Luke asked her to ask me."

(SCORECARDS... SCORECARDS HERE!!!! Can't tell the players without'em!!!)

Me: "What did he ask?"

Em: "I can't tell you until the end. So, Celeste asks me and without even thinking I said yes"

Me: "Well, what did he ask?"

Em: "Hold on! Then I thought about it and I decided that I came to the right decision."

Me: "You're killing me, Em!"

Em: "OK, Luke asked Celeste to ask me if I would be his Valentine and I said yes."

Me: "That is so sweet!!!"

Em: "Celeste told me that he's had a crush on me since the first grade!"

Me: "Well, you used to call Luke your boyfriend in Kindergarten."

Em: "Are you crying, Mommy?"

Me: "I was just thinking about how lovely that story is going to be at your wedding. Do you think you'll want to go with a band or a DJ?"

Em: "MOMMY!!!!"

Me: "Well, you could do much worse, you know, his mom is really nice!"

LMAO! You're already planning her wedding! But you didn't even ask what color dresses her bridesmaids will be wearing.

Nice plush seats at the theatre. Looks like you had a fun time. I sorta want to see that movie, and had no idea it was based on a book????

I want to see that film!
Chances are I won't though - as I've said many times previously I am really bad at going to the cinema. I only just saw Twlight!

LMAO. You so crack me up. Em is lucky to have you as mom.
I rarely go to the movies. It is so much more fun to sit in my recliner and pop my own popcorn. Guess I'll catch this one on DVD like all the others.

That's so sweet. I have told my 6yr old that she is not to worry about boys until she is a DR. but she is in love with a boy named Tyler and has been since K-4.

......shrug

That story is too cute. *Sigh* if things were as easy as passing a note that says "Do you like me? circle yes or no."

And I love Sophie Kinsella and am happy to hear they didn't butcher the movie!

Movie theater popcorn is the best. I guess you can tell what I was looking at in the picture.

Anyway, don't you be marrying that girl off yet. But then again, knowing the the MIL will be nice is a good thing.

Hey, at least let her date him for a little while before you start planning the wedding. LOL!
