Is There a 12-Step Program or Something?

Hi, my name is Wife O Riley and I am a Webkins addict.

If you were to tell me a couple of months ago that I was going to be spending all of my downtime (which is about 1 hour a day) playing games and decorating rooms on Webkins, I would call you a liar to your face. But here I am with 8, count them 8 Webkins OF MY OWN!

It started out innocent enough, Matt bought me one for our anniversary and I started playing with it. Then I got another one, and another one etc. I named them all after Cubs players so part of the fun was trying to find a name for each new adopted pet. As you can see, it's pretty clever, if I do say so myself. I told myself that I was just buying stuffed animals for Vivi. After all, she got to keep the actual animal and I just used the tags online. Then I got bored and I felt like I hit the Webkins glass ceiling. There was only so much I could do but play games and do the daily activities. Matt noticed that I had about 20 thousand Kinzcash and introduced me to the world of room creating. He showed me a website where people sent pictures of rooms they created for their Webkins.

If you are unfamiliar with Webkins, when you adopt a pet, they give you a room and there are different themes to decorate them. The stuff cost Kinzcash that you can earn playing games and doing the daily activities. (They really get you because you have to go on everyday to get stuff)

You can also buy additional rooms and decorate them too. This is where it gets fun. You can really come up with some fun rooms. It's like a virtual dollhouse!

Now being one who believes that dollhouse, and for that matter, youth is wasted on the young, I got right into it. When I was younger, I had no interests in dollhouses, I couldn't and didn't see the fun in decorating. That has all changed. And the best parts? I don't have to store a huge doll house and I'm spending fake money on them!!! So without further ado, here are some my favorite rooms that I created.

This is the beauty parlor, I know that I have only boy pets, but I couldn't resist. This was the first non-bedroom that I did.


This is the gym. I am waiting until I can get a jacuzzi to put by the lockers. It's an exclusive item and you can just get them in the shop. You have to wait until they are available in the curio shop or you may get one as an adoption gift when you adopt another pet. But I love the juice bar!


This is the gallery. The fountain is an exclusive item that I bought in the curio shop. It runs like an actual fountain. I am waiting to find the suits of armor. You can see three trophies that are on pedestals that I won playing games.

This is my newest room, the Zen room. I was so excited to find the rock garden!!! It cost like 2500 Kinzcash, but worth it!!

Some of the rooms that I will be creating in the future are; a library, an awesome closet, a game room, a living room and hopefully a Jimmy Buffet garden. (But I have to work that one out)

Now you know my dirty little secret, I'm a HUGE loser!! But it keeps me out of trouble. (Most of the time)
